Question by Kimberly: During sex recently I have begun to feel intense lower abdominal pain that sometimes lasts for days.?

My boyfriend and I have had a monogamous sexual relationship for over 4 years and recently like the past 6 months I have been experiencing severe lower abdominal pain during sex that sometimes lasts for days at a time. I found out that I had an ovarian cyst on my right ovary. COuld that be the source of the pain?

That sounds like it could be your answer, or he could be hitting your cervix located inside of the vagina. (This part dialates when you give birth...And contractions hurt!) If you are having sex missionary, try a few different positions so that your cervix is out of harms way. Try doggy style, or laying down on your stomach with your boyfriend on top.
